Nicotine has clouded your judgement

You can breathe free from all that.

The BIG BURNING Questions

HOW important is it you QUIT smoking?

Would you quit knowing you could stay quit, easily.

Are you going to allow that one cigarette rule you and your health forever?

How much life do you lose every time you smoke a cigarette? It is easy to think just one crafty fag doesn’t do much harm, but it could cost 14 minutes of life.

Or 10 years less living for an average smoker!

Many will know you have a least
one secret concern, or worry.

  • I get breathless quickly.
  • I worry about my bad stale breath
  • I know my clothes, house, and car stink of stale cigarettes. But I cant smell it!
  • My skin is looking older than it should.
  • I don’t like to show my teeth when I smile anymore.
  • I wish I had more energy to play with my grandson.
  • I wonder if they talk about me when I nip outside for a cigarette.
  • My logic knows the doctor is correct.
  • The vet said she wasn’t sure why my dog had breathing difficulties…… I used to take her everywhere with me, she never left my side.

If I could wave a magic wand …..

and add extra 10,15 or even 20 healthy years to your life then maybe you would also see your grandchildren marry, and maybe watch your great grandchildren start to make their way in this world. If only it were that easy. I can be much easier than you thought…..

After having a heart attack I knew it was time to quit smoking and do what I could to make it stick this time. I first went to a psychologist who wanted to move me from one addiction to another, vaping. That made little sense to me. I had read about using hypnosis for smoking cessation (my Mother had done it successfully years ago with a friend of hers) so I explored the few places and people in the area who would provide the service and after that reading and research I found Sandie and I could not have been happier. I do not know the ins and outs of hypnosis, nor do I really understand just how it works, but luckily Sandie does and in a little over 3 hours she took a smoker and made me not only a nonsmoker but one who had minimal to no desire to smoke, something different than all the other times I quit in the past. In the first week I drank a lot of “Cold, clear and crisp water,” Sandie’s substitute for the physical action of smoking. She made it so going to my balcony, something that was a trigger to smoke, was now just going to the balcony without the urge to smoke. I even find the smell of smoke distasteful, something that never happened in the past. Another big concern was weight gain, my cardiologist told me I would gain 6 kilos; they do not know Sandie. I put on 2 kilos that are now off.

I cannot recommend Sandie enough to anyone who has the desire to quit but needs that extra nudge to not only do it but make it easier for it to stick. Knowing she is there if I ever need a booster is of great comfort, she has your back even after you leave.

Attorney - MARBELLA

Stuart is one of the most inspiring people I have ever met. I spent three hours with him to help with some addictions, mainly smoking. Its been amazing, not only have I not touched a cigarette, I haven´t even thought about one. But I guess the main thing is I´ve been able to be honest with myself for the first time since I can remember, thank you Stuart.

The Cost of smoking is not just money.
any calculator can show you that.

The actual cost is to:

      • Your health and breathing

      • Time lost to smoking

      • Increased private health insurance

      • Nagging stress from Doctors, adverts, family & relatives.

Some companies are enticing employees to lead healthier, more productive lives with a variety of ”wellness” initiatives, including smoking-cessation counseling and products, weight maintenance plans, and exercise programs. Companies are promoting everything from a discount on smoking replacement aids and health club memberships to substantial discounts on health insurance premiums.

Employers Penalize Smokers and Overweight Workers ?

In recent months, some companies have gone further, imposing what some critics say are stiff and unfair penalties against smokers and overweight workers.

Hypnotherapy IS EFFECTIVE, but what about other options?

Champix or zyban?

Some people think tablets may be an easy way to quit: Champix tablets (varenicline) which can cause sleeplessness and difficulty concentrating, decreased heart rate and increased appetite or weight gain. The most common side-effect associated with Champix is nausea. Other common side effects include headache, difficulty sleeping and abnormal dreams. Champix may produce dizziness and sleepiness.
Zyban tablets (bupropion) also used as an anti-depressant also has an impressive list of possible side effects including agitation, dry mouth, dry mouth, headache, dizziness, nausea, stomach pain, constipation, insomnia, weight loss or gain, changes in appetite, loss of interest in sex, ringing in your ears, sore throat, muscle pain, itching or skin rash, increased urination. Seizures may also occur, especially at higher doses of Zyban
So still thinking tablets are an easy way to quit?

Nicotine replacement therapies (NRT)?

Nicotine replacement therapies (NRT), including patches, gum, lozenges, microtabs, inhalators, nasal sprays E-cigs and Vapes.
NRT products. A nicotine patch releases nicotine slowly into your system to help keep you on a constant level, while a fast-acting product such as an inhaler, spray or lozenge helps you deal with any immediate cravings. Yes you can buy most of these thing over the counter, and keep spending your hard earned cash to keep feeding your nicotine monster. And they cause you to have cravings. You tell me:
Would you tell the cocaine addict to quit by chewing cocaine gums? Or would you tell the cocaine addict to detox by spraying more cocaine in his mouth? Of course not. Nicotine replacement is not always the answer.

Electronic cigarettes or vaping?

Electronic cigarettes or vaping, these battery-operated devices that are made to look like a cigarette and turns liquid from a cartridge into an aerosol, or as they prefer to call it: vapour. Glamorous? Modern? Harmless?

Scientists conclude, vaping would be no better for the lungs than tobacco.

The World Health Organisation recommended that e-cigarettes should be banned indoors.
In the summer of 2019, the news started reporting more and more deaths linked directly to the Vape. Various states in the USA have banned Vapes, and stores such as Walmart will no longer stock them, India is the first of many countries to ban them.New research is telling us for the first time that nicotine, whatever its source, can harm lung tissue.

What this all boils down to, is that you can’t really quit this addiction if you keep putting nicotine in your body in other forms

The wise choice

A whole new world
of smell and tastes

Allow your body
to heal itself

What happens when you allow the body to heal after quit smoking?

Your body is amazing. As soon as a person stops smoking their body begins to recover in the following ways:

20 minutes after you quit – Your blood pressure & pulse return to normal.

8 hours after– Oxygen levels in your blood return to normal.

24 hours after – Carbon Monoxide has been eliminated from your body, your lungs start to clear out mucus -& other debris.
Usually quietly in the background without notice.

48 hours after – Smoking damage to the nerve endings responsible for the senses of smell and taste start to recover.
In as little as 2 days after quitting, a person may notice a heightened sense of smell and more vivid tastes as these nerves heal.

72 hours after- Breathing becomes easier. Your Bronchial Tubes clear out and your energy levels increase.

2 – 12 weeks after – Your circulation improves throughout your body, making walking & exercise much easier.

3 – 9 months after – Coughs, Wheezing & breathing problems improve as your lung function improves by as much as 10%.
1 year after you quit – Your risk of a heart attack falls to around half of that of a smoker.

5 years after you quit- the body has healed itself enough for the arteries and blood vessels to begin to widen again. This widening means the blood is less likely to clot, lowering the risk of stroke.

10 years after you quit – Your risk of lung cancer falls to half that of a smoker. Your risk of a heart attack falls to the same level as a person who has never smoked.

20 years after you quit- the risk of death from smoking-related causes, including lung disease and cancer, drops to the level of a person who has never smoked in their life. Also, the risk of developing pancreatic cancer has reduced to that of someone who has never smoked.

Smoking in the News

Some never quit and say they like it. Some decide its time!

From the Huffington Post

Margaret, a 90-year old (not a typo!) musician from Manhattan, has been tobacco-free for a whopping 26 years, after a pack-a-day smoking career that spanned six decades. She’d quit before, cold turkey, but lasted only two days before she relapsed. Years later, she decided to try hypnosis at the recommendation of a trusted friend. “It wasn’t scary,” she remembers. “I was quite unaware that I was being hypnotized. The hypnosis was just deep enough for everything she said to take root. She told me that I shouldn’t ever touch another cigarette, not to think I can smoke and get away with it, and that one cigarette can restart the addiction over again. It was very easy. I was really quite surprised.” Margaret hasn’t taken a puff since.

About half of all smokers die from smoking-related diseases. If you are a long-term smoker, on average, your life expectancy is about 10 years less than a non-smoker. Stopping smoking can make a big difference to your health. It is never too late to stop smoking to benefit your health. For example, if you stop smoking in middle age, before having cancer or some other serious disease, you avoid most of the increased risk of death due to smoking.”

In 1974, almost half of all adults in the UK smoked. For many, spending time in smoke-filled homes, pubs and workplaces was simply a part of daily life.

Today, that figure has fallen to 15%. The government has pledged to end smoking in England altogether by 2030.

I have a few things that I would like to share with anyone interested. I am sure that many of smokers have heard from the dreaded x- smoker. Always complaining about your smoke. It gets so annoying that at times you light up to piss them off. Now after 44 years of smoking I realized that I wish I would have listened. 12 years ago I was diagnosed with COPD. COPD is a progressive disease which means it keeps getting worse. Five years ago I was told that my disease had now reached Stage Four also known as end stage COPD. My doctors said they would be surprised if I lived for another 5 years. I have beaten that. Let me tell you. Every day when I go to sleep I wonder if tonight is the night that I will not wake up. Breathing is horrible. I am on 4 litres of oxygen just enough to keep me alive. Any type of activity sends my oxygen level to critical levels. Cathy and I have made some plans of what we wanted to do when we retire. As I am sure most of you all have. For me my plans are no longer achievable. My stubbornness when I was younger has now ruined not mine but my wife’s planes after retirement. This is not fair. She will be left alone when the time comes to enjoy our life together. Three weeks ago I was diagnosed with lung cancer in both lungs. I cannot be treated like most people because of the conditions of my lungs. I have begun Radiation treatment on my left lung first. The reason I am posting this is to possible get someone’s attention to quit. To save one life would be fantastic this is why I write this, with the hope that someone will quit. Love you all.

Studies have shown that hypnosis is a powerful aid to quitting smoking and staying smoke free.

There is no cast iron guarantee.

As with all the other ways listed above. Hypnosis can help, AND it does have a higher chance of helping you, but nothing in life can be 100% certain except illness from smoking and death.
